..... mr puddins exposed!

due to popular demand, mr puddins has been pushed into the limelight. (yesh, his real name isn't broadcast to protect the innocent) and well okay, not like i really got a ton of requests, but mr puddins has recently lost close to 2 lbs from his hefty 22+ lbs of bulk. he really is a cougar. honest, he lumbers, not walks. you can feel him approaching you from the lil' ripples that cascade across your drink's surface like in jurassic park. he was recently awarded his own zip code by the local postal carrier.

we've been feeding the monster a "lighten up" brand of food since he's had a heart arythmia issue since birth. we didn't know about it until a vet/medecine scare 2 years back that almost killed him. mr puddins honestly was never given a long lifetime expectation, but he's beating (or perhaps eating) the odds.

i've never know a more loving, sweet and generous animal. allll mr puddins wants is to be pet, held, burped like a baby, and to nuzzle INTO ones sweatshirt and sit there, like a damned baby kangaroo in your new pouch. even at vets when he's being violated by thermometers and needles, he purrrrs so loudly the vet can barely get a heart-to-listen reading.

he sleeps curled up around my wife's head. has 'moments' where he'll jump up next to you, start kneedin' the area with his fat feet, and look at you so full of GOO, that his whiskers will curve down and create a "foo man choo" (yup, that's how we spell it!) look/effect that's funnier than hell as he worships the ground we walk or sit on.

so, now you all have seen the beast. fear him, or he will love you allll to death. seriously.

No fear, only love. Mr. Puddins looks just like our dearly departed Fred. Fred was on his way to major fatness as well until his heart decided his time had come.

Thank you for sharing your stories of Frank with me. I like the name of his boat! Wise man...

Okay, just stop avoiding work. :)

oh, and for the record, we weren't trying to fatten fred up...he just was headed that way. in fact, he was on a diet...

me? avoiding work? moi!?

mr puddins isn't fat.. he prefers to consider himself globally challenged...

He used to be 26 lbs... so he's doing good... overall....

See, that's how cats are supposed to be. More like dogs. ;)

I think Mr. Puddins is a cat who could find his way into my heart, even though I am a dog person. Because what's the point of having a pet who doesn't love you, or doesn't show their love?

Don't we all need someone to worship the ground we sit on, as it were?

Well, this AM I woke up to a fat squishy and whisker tickly face smooshed up against mine... and it wasn't my wife.

Adoration and love is one thing... but mr puddins knows that he should only be whoring it up on my wifee at night.

Good heavens, the right side of my face is still numb from his weight...

:)
