... "wood-n't" you know it

... the floor is going down! okay, i promise that this blog will NOT become one of those, "this is our house and looky what we did to it!" type... but OMG looky what we're doing! i never thought that cutting to fit the flooring around a crappy unfinished fireplace would be so damned difficult! first two rows took us over 3 hours! thankfully wifee has the tolerance (stubborness?) of a mule, and simply smiled as a ranted and raved. (which, btw, does involve a fair amount of stomping and flailing around on the ground)

three pics to show you all. kinda unbelieveable to think that what you're seeing is the result of 2 boxes already of the 17 we have for both the dining room and kitchen.... wiring's all done too, thanks to skilled wifee, including the new phone jacks. i'll likely cry and curl up in a fetal position when i have to tackle the spackle (giggle) in the kitchen once we demolish that area. thankfully tho, all gaping holes leading to the pits of hell and water damaged areas are repaired and hidden to the world!

for a friends sake in portland, who prolly just wants to mimic our creative endeavors :) here's the colors we used and will be using in this room:
(ALL from Olympic Paints)
Yellow tone is Brown Mustard (B14-4)
Red tone is Fragrent Cloves (B24-6)
Green tone is Sweet Annie (C11-4)

it's official, whoever names these paints is obviously snorking a wee bit too much of their own product, but they suuuure look nice. for the record, the RED tone will be in the kitchen pantry and the accompanying wall.

hope everyone out there in bloggerville is enjoying their weekend. OH, and for the record, mr puddins and i work for a company that's government affiliated... so, we have monday off and you don't! Mua ha hahahaaaaaaa!
