.... no, these are not the sound effects cleverly stolen from the brutal superbowl game yesterday. you know, the game where the judges were all steelers fans and every single decent play that we made either caused a flag on the play or for us to lose, oooooh, say 15 yards juuuust as we're conveniently about to score a TD!? yeah, that one...
no, this post is to update anyone who cares about our rennovation project. or perhaps just to fulfill an empty space in my heart that needs some form of vindication that wifee and i are getting this project done, versus just pounding holes in walls and ripping sh*t up. alrighty then:
first pic shows the woody-floorey-goodness which has now crept into the 'middle spot' which seperates the dining room and kitchen. I'd show you a neato shot of the dining room and all, but I sorta figured out you could just all look at a shot in a previous update and just imagine... well.. MORE.
Second pic shows what it's like to experience sheer horror as wifee and i realized first hand that folks in 1965 smoked a lot of high quality weed... they must have to have actually looked at that wallpaper, looked at each other and uttered 5 impossible words: "yeah, this sh*t looks sweet!" needless to say, wifee and i sat on our new floor for about an hour rocking back and forth holding each other, trying to recover from fruity wallpaper induced shudders.....

My best friend and her husband are ripping the sh*t out of their house right now (have been for many, many months) and have found similar wallpaper, only in pink...in their kitchen!!!
I'm glad I didn't turn on the "big game" yesterday and instead knit until my hands became claws. I've not heard anything good about the game, halftime show, OR the ads (except all the ones for Greys Anatomy and the Dove one).
actually, the budweiser ones were the "smartest" marketing efforts I've seen in quite some time.
from the lil' horsey who wants to grow up to be a proud clydesdale, beer wagon pulling fool like his daddy - to the ever so pleasing office space prank of hiding beers throughout a workplace causing frenzies of folks punching thru walls, ripping up potted plants, and tackling each other just to GET the beer bottles....
it was quite a site to see.
all 5 of us, methinks settled on the BEST ONE of all... the streaking sheep thru the Budweiser Clydesdale football game. (apparently a knock off of last years ad, which WAS a football game between the horses)
har har... heh heh heeeeee....
okay, back to reality now
I liked the career ones - where they worked with a bunch of jackasses. Loved the streaker too.
Game was "interesting"...keep getting calls from people all day about it. BLECH!
Floor's looking good! That wallpaper, that's another story. Who in their right mind would do something like that and actually think it looks good!? :)
