... got some
... good news to share with you all! the kitchen is 98% done baby! that's right... some touchups, some minor tweaks here and there, (like utensils in the drawers... go figure!) and voila! take a look at the before and after and jes' looky! eep!
BEFORE THE MADNESS BEGAN....
AND THIS IS AFTER ! (happy happy joy joy!)
so, we're working on a couple of small things left. the TOP section we purchased from those evil swiss IKEA bastards for the dishwasher isn't the same thickness nor even pattern as the rest of the surfaces, so i'm a little pissy over that. it just means that won't be done in time for family on Easter to show off. oh well, it gives me an excuse to try to talk my friend out of some extra granite he has from his kitchen makeover. they imported this crap from italy and omgoodness... it's forest green emerald goodness with striations and sparklies! woot woot! I could have a cutter chop that badboy down to my needed dimensions in no time baby! (*evil grin of satisfaction!)
anyway, i'll likely not post much more about the rennovation since the magic's damned well gone. stoopid project haunts our dreams, but it does feel worth it. NEXT, mr puddins and i must tackle the fireplace redo... that's gonna suck... thanks to you all for your past feedback and kudos! I appreciate all the virtual support!

You do very good work. It looks fabulous. I am sure wifee is the brains behind this operation. If you're smart, she is.
Take it from me, after 38 years it's, "Yes, Ma'am. No Ma'am. Whatever pleases you my love." And, I am very sincere when I say it. Besides, my dear wife has very good decorating sense. Among other things.
Green emerald goodness with striations. Woot! Woot! Woot! How sweet is that? Almost hot fudge and caremel sweet.
Our patio has been put off for another week. The installer got back from vacation, but the fence hasn't come in. It's only been on the road for two weeks. How can you lose 80 linear feet of six foot tall fence? Go figure.
looks amazing! i'm envious...sigh.
thanks jack & shanny... and yesh, wifee is kinda the brains behind the operation. i mean, she has to be... i couldn't function without her.
buuuuuut, i am the designer and artsy one. she's got a great eye for pointing at things and saying, 'me likey' - but has admitted that she can't visualize finished products as well.
she was a trooper this entire project. she didn't want dark cherry flooring, she trusted me. she didn't want parts of the layout to be as they are now, she trusted me.
best of all, SHE picked the colors for the walls! rockstar job indeed!
regarding fences? i wanted to say thank you for the 80 foot picket fence delivery i got this week. seems only fair that i ship cookies to you and they end up in limbo, and you ship fencing to yourself and they end up in the same void...
meh. frustrating....
It looks great B!- so pretty. hehe no more paint lids for cleo :P
Wow... you have passed the 1000 mark coolness :)
Looking forward to mr. puddins and the fireplace makeover!

We got word today that the fence is in the area and will be delivered and installed beginning Tuesday of next week. Whew, is that ever a relief. The phots will be on the site ere long.
He is right about the fact that I thought the floor would be too dark - I love it. I'm still getting used to the new layout of drawers, wings, and such. It'll come in time. Everything is about ready for this weekend except two things - the dishwasher top...and where or where to put the trash can! LOL
