.... UPDATE: upon consideration of how this entry sounded/read, i've decided to do what i rarely if EVER do... that's right, i'm editing a post. wise-sage jack advised me on some thoughts and benefits to starting a new blog completely dedicated to my artwork, paintings, artistic writing, rambling, and more: his advice helped push me over the edge and i created this new site for your viewing pleasure! somethin sketchy

i really want folks to consider reading it once in awhile. i'm constantly working to improve myself in all facets of my life, and my creative side is considered a "work in progress..."

i already had someone email me and ask, "what can i do to advise you? you're the artist!?" this made me laugh inside. it's the everyday person who speaks most honestly. it's the person you'd never expect to say something that's the most moving and beneficial to an artist. we may carry a vision, but we are also the links to what some folks cannot put down on paper... does that make sense? we're also our own worst critics, so anything you can say or suggest or point out or criticize or praise only makes me improve as an artist and a person.

i would appreciate it if you all told folks about my new site too. pass the word, tell your spouses, your neighbors, run an ad, smoke signals, carrier pigeons, or anything you can think of to help me get the workd out. i ask for advice, and maybe we can all learn a little something along the way.
