... here's some advice

... ask for help, and you shall receive. i wanted to take a moment and thank each and every one of you who were kind enough to post your thoughts and opinions regarding my recent dilemma on how to speak about humor to a group of peoplz.

all of your thoughts resounded in my numbskull the entire time i presented this evening, and i'm pleased to say that what was supposed to have been a 45 minute session, ended after nearly 1.5 hours of my presentation, some fun interactive humorist role-playing, and a question & answer session where hands eagerly shot up.

you all mean so much to me. you know who you are, so no... i'm not gonna name names... even if i listed you all alphabetically, someone would be offended that they're not on top. giggle. i also used some of your rousing support to take the first place award in tuesday night's humorist speech contest! i get to once again go to the next round of competitions for my area/district/then region and hopefully take the crown of funniest-sonofabiscuit like i did in 2004.

my lurvin's to you all... and again, you are alllll appreciated.

Not knowing your mother, I will not dignify your comment about being an SOB, funny or not. LMAO

Less seriously, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I remember well my time in Toastmasters. It was always a blast, even while sweating out the next speech.

If it is any consolation, I knew you would do well. You are that kind of guy. I suspect that if you had screwed up somehow, it would still have been a first class act.

Thanks for putting my name at the top of the thank you list. You really didn't have to put in larger type than everyone else's. lol

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was stumped on that one. Unless I have a few in me, I can't get up in front of a group and talk, let alone be funny! Granted I was able to do the announcements in front of people on the planes but that was different. I give you credit for a job WELL DONE!!!

Congrats again! See, things are looking up already!
