... omg omg i loved this scene! you remember it, right? what a great series! this is from the first of the three films!it's the beginning scene where gandalf enters the beloved hobbit shire and greets lil' frodo baggins and envelops him in a huge hug and... kiss? waaaait a minute...




ooooh, wait. my bad. this is jes eensy-teensy little reese witherspoon (or reesers piecers, as she likes me to call her) possibly being:

a) mauled b) greeted kindly c) sampled like a king's table buffet

... by non other than kate friggin' winslet. (you remember, that dumpy creature from titanic, who then promised never to lose weight for another role, and now weighs exactly 15lbs but somehow is still gargantuan to lil' reesers.) omgoodness, when did she grow to zena warrior princess sized proportions? i swear she could wrestle a bull moose and win. WHILE dragging poor wittle' leo decaprio from a cold watery doom.... either way, i was sooo amazed at how they seemlessly super-imposed the body of lil' reesers next to the body of kate so she looked all tiny and hobbit-like. oh wait. my bad again... she is microscopic nowadays. she looked so much bigger in Legally Blonde. i guess the camera really does add about 20 lbs and apparently 4 feet.

i watched about 10 minutes of the golden globes last night and was shocked to see this scene... even MORE shocked to find this pic on a celebrity gossip website. it's perfect... it jes' captures all the magic of hollywood. ya know, how REAL it all is and how each and every one of these actors/actresses work so hard to make the world a better place. really. i was moved to tears.

p.s. kate winslet whipped out a fork and knife and devoured my lil' reesers moments after this magical shot was taken. gawd i love hollywood and their starvation diets. so sad really...
