... i dare you! it goes without saying that last week was a total trip, so say the very least. washington state got nailed with some really nasty weather; the likes it had not seen in years. while many were traumatized, others took it in stride, as you can see by my beloved and completely retarted maddie-dawg, who has found a newfound lurve for the snow. she snuffled, snorfled, purposely lost toys within the snowy depths so she had to nuzzle her way through tufts of snow and more. she even learned that frisbee catching can rule in the snow. (softer landing for the dumbass) she really would spend hours outside, and to make things worse, i bought my little 4-legged short-busser a toy that lights up on impact, so i toss this baton toy in the snow, and a yellow batch of brightly colored lights (no, not snow jack...) and i swear she bounds thru the snow like she's onna mission. it's really quite adorable. i jes' wish i could find a way to tell her that she's really accomplished nothing other than freeze her darling lil' fuzzy tootsies off and created a beard of frozen dog spittle on her schmoozle. oh well.. ya gotta love her.
wifee was a quick snapper with our KodakDX7630. snowflakes the size of small automobiles made quick work of our backyard, turning it into a norman rockwell's white christmas, complete with snow-bent trees, blanketed grounds, and a lot of pissed off and ravenously dangerous chickadees and nuthatches. (also, a rockwell favorite... yesh, a little known fact about 'ol normy) this was roughly the amount of snow we had for most of the week. i know this because around 10:30 monday night, i shoveled all that shit off my driveway in order for wifee and i to be able to get out of our home. her yuppie mazda6 sportswagon is the lowest damned thing i've seen in years. kids with lowered hondas and trucks give her the "peace sign" as she drives through our neighborhood... oi vey...
this next shot may be impossible to see... i dunno.. clicky on it and see whatchoogot. it should hopefully translate roughly into, "cool hanging candle lights in our front window." i'm not much for decorations at all for the holidays. actually loathe them, but since we have family coming up this year, i felt it'd be nice, and if something burns down, so be it... i can at least say "i told you so," at that point while i'm being beaten. but there's at least cooh shiny things in my home now, so i can take a few moments, ooh & ahh at them, then realize i'm being watched and retreat back into my hole. i have so few memories of past christmases sue to my sh*tty memory... i tell ya, they were prolly grand, but i'll be damned if i can recall much of anything.
this cooh pic is a jeweled tree that simply holds tea-lights. totally cooh in my book, and yesh... shiny. that alone can keep my simpleton-self entertained for hours. there is something magical though how a light shines through a polished marble.. or anything glass in general. it cuts it, dissects it, and disseminates it into multiple streams of light. for some reason, that's the cooh-est damned thing to me... calming in fact, and again, magical. i hope each and every one of you find your happy place this holiday. it can be so hard to find. (trust me... ahhh know 'dis) look for it though... it can be the simplist of things that makes you simply stop and think, or a gesture toward others... either way, i promise you it's worth it. big cuppa lurve to you all... B & mr puddins

Methinks you have found the portal to happiness. The first and last photos are the clue.
Your kookie puppers and the tree of lights are the secret.
Now, Grasshopper, you must contemplate them and the ability of a Mazda6 sportswagon's lowness to the ground. It will bring you closer to the happiness you seek and have found.
You do remember the new saying, don't you? "When life gives you salt, make Margaritas."
ttfn.
